"Listen. You
can hear me. I know though you have turned from words, turned only to the swill and shudder of colour, turned your ear into a dumb shell (tuning into its own rush of blood), that you hear the sea of me (the lull and wash), that when you pour, and spill, and scratch, you scrape your fingernails into my back, and moan, and long to wash me away. Paint it. Make it visible."

Composition and sound design for short film by Mark Jones and Tom de Freston, featuring the paintings of Tom de Freston and the words and voice of Kiran Millwood Hargrave.
